Daniel Taylor - CEO
Daniel Taylor | CEO

Daniel Taylor is the founding director of CCSG Legal Pty Ltd. Daniel’s vision was instrumental in the creation of CCSG Legal Pty Ltd to service the commercial, insolvency and insurance sectors.

Daniel commenced his career at a well-respected Commercial Debt Recovery Law firm with offices in both Sydney and Adelaide.

From an early stage Daniel acted for many national and international clients in the provision of debt recovery and legal services. Daniel was also the first port of call for many of the top 5 law firms on the provision of debt recovery services to their greater client base and to their executive partners.

Alongside his former managing partner, Daniel was subsequently asked to establish an incorporated legal practice for one of Australia’s largest consumer collections and debt purchase companies.

Daniel saw the need for a dedicated services group for the greater debt recovery and legal market. In 2005 Daniel established Credit Collection Services Group, CCSG Legal Pty Ltd and Taylor Investigations to meet the markets need.

In his role as Managing Director of the CCSG group, Daniel brings a vast experience in both commercial and consumer recoveries, as well as commercial and insolvency litigation.

Daniel is often called upon by many blue-chip clients to provide directional advice in the provision of legal and debt recovery services. In addition, Daniel is a regular presenter to both the credit and insolvency sectors on an extensive range of topics.

Daniel is currently the National Vice President of the Institute of Mercantile Agents and the Chair of the Collections Subcommittee as well as the Australian/New Zealand Chair for the Council of Delegates for ACA International.

Marcello Puglisi - Senior Associate
Marcello Puglisi | Senior Associate

Marcello is a driven and highly motivated lawyer with a strong focus on commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and debt recovery. Admitted as a lawyer in New South Wales in October 2014, he has built a solid track record over more than a decade of practice, working across a range of complex legal matters for clients in the finance, utilities, and commercial sectors.

Marcello holds a Bachelor of Laws and has developed a reputation for his considered and solutions-focused approach. He joined CCSG as an Associate and, through consistent performance and a deep understanding of client needs, has progressed into a Senior Associate role. His work is defined by his ability to manage high-volume matters without compromising on quality, and to navigate disputes with both legal precision and commercial awareness.

Within the CCSG team, Marcello plays a key role in delivering tailored legal strategies that protect client brands while maximising recovery outcomes. He is committed to compliance, transparency, and respectful communication, principles that guide every interaction with clients and their customers.

Elizabeth Greenwood - Associate
Lizzie Greenwood | Associate

Lizzie is a highly accomplished solicitor who recently completed her studies and gained admission to the Supreme Court of NSW in June 2023. With a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Commerce from the University of Wollongong, along with a graduate diploma of Legal Practice, from The College of Law Australia, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her role.

Since joining CCSG Legal Pty Ltd as a Paralegal in 2021, Lizzie has consistently demonstrated a drive for excellence and a remarkable work ethic. Her strong analytical skills and attention to detail enable her to navigate complex legal matters with precision. Lizzie’s dedication to her clients’ best interests and her empathetic approach ensure they feel supported throughout the legal process.

With strong communication skills and a commitment to professional development, along with Lizzie’s passion for advocacy and integrity make her a trusted advocate for her clients. As a solicitor at CCSG Legal Pty Ltd, she continues to make a significant impact in the legal profession.

Adrieana Taupau Nafoi - Solicitor
Adrieana Taupau Nafoi | Solicitor

Adrieana is a Solicitor in the Commercial Litigation team bringing a background in banking and finance.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Auckland in New Zealand in 2023 and was admitted as a Solicitor to the High Court of Auckland in September 2024 and to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in October 2024.

 

Prior to admission as a Solicitor, Adrieana worked for the National Australia Bank (NAB), where she gained valuable experience in mortgage restructure, property settlements and mortgage in possession for late stage collections matters. She began her legal career working in a small boutique firm as a solicitor where she gained experience in personal and corporate insolvency, debt recovery, liquidation, voluntary administration and bankruptcy related matters.

 

As a dedicated Solicitor at CCSG Legal, Adrieana is able to assist individuals and businesses navigate complex legal challenges with clarity and confidence. She focuses on commercial litigation, business contracts and advocacy. Valued for her clear communication and a pragmatic approach, she helps clients navigate complex disputes efficiently with confidence.

Rhys Boudib - Senior Partner
Rhys Boudib | Senior Partner

Rhys holds the position of Partner at CCSG Legal Pty Ltd. Rhys is admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.

Rhys possesses a demonstrated ability to manage diverse and complex files across the practice areas of both insurance and commercial litigation and has regularly appeared in the Supreme, District and Local Courts of New South Wales, as well as the equivalents thereof in all states and territories of Australia.

Rhys predominantly acts for state-based and national insurance companies and has dealt with litigation ranging from property damage, fraud claims, public indemnity claims, contractual indemnities and construction disputes. He also regularly provides client advice possessing extensive knowledge of the Insurance Contracts Act 1984. Additionally, Rhys has an extensive background in litigation arising out of commercial relationships, namely contractual disputes and general property law.

Rhys has a considered approach to litigation, with a heightened ability to achieve client focused results, whilst maintaining a commercial and client/goal focused approach. His ability to narrow the relevant issues in dispute, coupled with his heightened capacity to understand complex tasks, has greatly assisted in his servicing of national insurance and commercial clients.

Simone Checchia - Senior Associate
Simone Checchia | Senior Associate

Simone brings over 14 years’ experience in litigation and dispute resolution, underpinned by a Master of Laws (Legal Practice) from the University of Technology Sydney. She has built a dynamic career across general, commercial, and insurance litigation, with a strong focus on general insurance in the latter part of her practice. Known for her practical approach and strategic thinking, Simone is highly regarded for her ability to navigate complex matters with confidence.

She regularly appears in the Small Claims and General Division of the Local Court of New South Wales and the Magistrates Court of Western Australia. Simone advises and appears in a range of Local, Federal and Magistrates Courts and Tribunals across multiple jurisdictions.

Well respected within the general insurance industry, Simone is recognised for her dispute resolution skills and her ability to implement effective strategies for clients and stakeholders. She has worked closely with major insurers nationwide, managing reporting requirements and handling high-volume litigation involving recovery and defended matters, liability and quantum disputes, and credit hire claims.

With her charismatic nature Simone prides herself on maintaining close relationships with her clients and combines her skills and experience in obtaining the best results for her clients achieving excellent outcomes.

Travis Wu - Associate

Travis Wu is a distinguished member of the CCSG Legal team, specialising in insurance law. With a robust academic background, Travis completed his Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) between 2018 and 2020, laying a solid foundation for his legal career.

Travis’s journey in the legal field commenced in 2019, where he initially embarked on his career as a legal administrator. This role marked the beginning of his dedication to legal practise, offering him invaluable insights into the intricacies of legal processes and client management. His unwavering commitment to excellence and a keen eye for detail quickly propelled him through the ranks, evolving into a paralegal position, where he honed his skills in legal research and documentation.

After his admission at the Supreme Court of NSW in 2021, Travis transitioned into a graduate solicitor role, where he demonstrated remarkable proficiency in handling complex legal matters, effectively communicating legal advice, and representing clients with diligence and integrity. His adeptness at navigating the legal landscape, combined with his passion for law, led him to join CCSG Legal in September 2023 as a solicitor within the Insurance team.

At CCSG Legal, Travis applies his comprehensive knowledge of law and approach to assist clients in navigating the often-complex world of insurance law. He is dedicated to delivering client-focused solutions and is highly regarded for his analytical skills, ethical standards, and the ability to achieve favourable outcomes for his clients.

Marie Louskos - Solicitor
Marie Louskos | Solicitor

Marie Louskos graduated from the University of Technology Sydney in 2024 with a combined Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business (Finance). Her studies gave her a strong foundation in both legal analysis and financial principles, shaping the commercial awareness she brings to her work today.

She began her legal career as a law clerk in late 2020, gaining early exposure to the practical side of legal practice while completing her degree. In 2024, Marie joined CCSG Legal as a paralegal, where she supported the team on a variety of matters and developed her skills in client communication, legal research and case preparation. She has since progressed into the role of solicitor and now works in the area of insurance, applying this practical grounding to provide clear and outcome focused support to clients.

With a background that combines law and finance, Marie approaches her work with precision, balance and a strong commitment to delivering outcomes that clients can rely on. She is dedicated to helping clients navigate complex issues with confidence and clarity.

Toni Murtanovski - Partner
Toni Murtanovski | Partner

Toni is the Partner who leads the commercial litigation and insolvency team at CCSG Legal Pty Ltd. He is admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.

Toni advises and represents large domestic and multinational organisations, throughout most jurisdictions in Australia. His clients span a wide and diverse range of industries, including building goods and services, finance and lending, healthcare and aged care, advertising and media, construction and dry hire, insolvency and litigation funding.

Toni’s current practice is primarily made up of commercial litigation, and personal and corporate insolvency.

He regularly advises and appears in relation to a range of commercial disputes with a focus on recoveries, guarantees and indemnities. Toni advises and represents various stakeholders when it comes to insolvency related matters including secured and unsecured creditors, insolvency practitioners and directors with respect to guarantees and indemnities, undervalued transactions, unfair preferences, insolvent trading, uncommercial transactions, unreasonable director related transactions, security enforcement and public examinations.

He has conducted and has been involved in various lengthy and extensive commercial litigation and insolvency matters as well as contentious interlocutory disputes.

Prior to joining CCSG Legal Pty Ltd, Toni primarily practiced in various areas of insurance litigation including public liability, CTP personal injury, third party property damage, home warranty and workers compensation, representing some of Australia’s well-known local as well as international insurers.

Toni is known for his negotiation and advocacy skills. His eye for detail, planning and commerciality are some of his strengths, which enables him to offer strategic advice and adopt a commercial approach with a view to achieve his clients desired outcome. Toni’s strong verbal and written communication skills have allowed him to build strong client relationships.

James Simons - Senior Associate
James Simons | Senior Associate

James commenced his legal journey as a paralegal in a specialised firm focused on debt recovery, laying the foundation for his career in this niche field. His expertise and commitment quickly led to his admission as a solicitor in 2011. Following this milestone, James ascended to the role of Head of Litigation in one of the highest volume Debt Recovery Law Firms in Sydney.

In his role at CCSG Legal, James specialises in a broad range of legal disciplines, including Commercial and Business Litigation, Liquidation, Bankruptcy, Finance, and Contract Law, with a keen interest in Local Government matters. His pursuit of legal excellence has recently steered him towards Strata Law, further diversifying his expertise and reflecting his dedication to professional growth.

Beyond his legal practice, James has a passion for education and professional development, co-hosting Debt Recovery Workshops. These workshops, conducted for fellow solicitors through the College of Law and university, underscore his commitment to sharing knowledge and enhancing the skills of the legal community in debt collection legal assistance.

Shawn Bae - Solicitor
Shawn Bae | Solicitor

Graduating from the University of New South Wales in 2025 with a Juris Doctor, Shawn Bae completed his Practical Legal Training at the College of Law later that year. He has a strong professional interest in commercial law, contract law, and banking and finance, and is motivated by the opportunity to support clients navigating complex legal and commercial matters.

 

Shawn began at CCSG Legal as a paralegal and was recently admitted as a solicitor by the Supreme Court, continuing his work at the firm with full legal authority. In this role, he provides clear, practical guidance on commercial and financial matters, helping clients understand their legal obligations, manage risk, and make informed decisions aligned with their business objectives.
